Description

Butterfield Ranch Resort is a mobile home and RV park, located in the high desert at the base of the Julian and Laguna Mountains. Butterfield Ranch is rich with history from the Butterfield Stage Coach days. Our park is a quiet rural park with over 200 full hook up sites and 100 primitive tent sites. We have a General Store stocked with all your needs. We are a horse and dog friendly park with lots of corrals to accommodate your horses, and great trails for riding or hiking.

On the weekends we have guided hikes to interesting spots around the desert, an art class, and campfire lore. Sometimes we have special activities depending on the time of year. This Halloween during the last two weekends of October we will be hosting a haunted house and other fun Halloween activities. We are active members of the Julian Merchants Association and support Julian in all their activities. Our three pools and 2 spas are a great setting for year around fun, so come camp with us and enjoy the experience. We are open 365 days a year. Make your reservation on line or on the phone, we look forward to sharing Butterfield Ranch Resort's great energy with you.

Great Customer Service

We spent several days at Butterfield Ranch over the Memorial Holiday weekend last year. Made our reservations online. Check in was a breeze and they even let us upgrade to a group site that was available. Staff was also awesome in not only reserving a fire ring for us, but delivered it to us as well! The store is nicely stocked, pool was nice and clean. We even made use of the BBQ's and picnic tables in the pool area one night. I would definitely stay there again.

Close to the Fun

Me and my family are always happy to camp in Butterfield Ranch, the sites are flat (minimum level require, that's IF), everything always works, the staff is very friendly and helpful. It is close to the desert spots that we like to explore, in both directions in the Anza Borrego Desert Park. Our family of 5 enjoy the pools and play area, you can relax at the pool while the kids play in it.....then Barbaque !, we love to grill !. At night the campgrand is quiet and I have always had a complete good night sleep.

Windy but always worth it.

My wife and I came out early Friday of Memorial weekend 2011 to get our group's fave spot, which we did. It was windy but everyone we met was looking forward to a great couple of days. There are some pools and spas located around the Ranch and we made use of them and the brilliant sunshine. A cool little concert that evening topped off our 1st night. Our group filtered in and we spent the time either back country jeeping or at the pools. Sunday night we had another entertainer who we really enjoyed. If you have never been here, you owe it to yourself to try this little gem. The staff will accommodate about any request and are always around to help out. We look forward to our desert getaways, especially Memorial Day, Butterfield makes sure it is something special.
