Great place to be

In the pass 4 years I've camped at Casini at least a dozen times. I, my wife and two twin grandsons love the place. The river is beautiful and great place for the kids to swim and play. Very few spots in the river over 5 feet high during the summer. Great drive through campsites. You could get your trailer and several cars on any site you rent. Enjoy biking with the kids around the campground. Really like they have security person driving around until late at night. The strictly enforce their park rules. No loud noise after 10 pm or you will be expell from the park. General store has about anything you would need without leaving campgrounds. Only five miles from Jenner of the sea. Yes, sometimes check in can be a pain, but this is a big campground that has people constantly coming and going. The only bad thing I got to say is the daily prices for camping have been goin up up up. Bathrooms get a little grubby (mostly weekends)because there is so many people camping. Love the place.

Beautfiul setting--too many other campers

This lovely piece of property on the Russian river would be a great place to pitch a tent and get away from the city if it weren't for the hordes of "fellow" campers.
This is the kind of place where kids ride their bikes around the campground greeting the kids they met last year on the same weekend.
There are tons of monstrous motorhomes with flatscreen TVs as well as some nice tent sites nestled in the trees. The spots right on the river are really close together. You have a great view in one direction but maybe not in the other.
The facilities were pretty nice except of the two mens showers next to our site, only one had hot water the whole weekend. This made for long lines at times.
It's nice they have a general store with ice, firewood, toys for kids, sweaters, bacon, coffee etc. The prices weren't even that bad there.
We were there on a holiday weekend and they had an ice cream social one night and a hayride and bonfire the other night. They definitely work hard to entertain the guests.
The bottom line is, a lot of people will camp here and come back every year. If you're that type, this is your place. But for others, the swastikas and racist slogans written in the stalls of the bathroom (more than anywhere else I've seen in a long time), might make you think twice about returning. It's a specific crowd here. Definitely not city folk. Who you are will really determine the quality of your experience here.

great place to stay

I absolutley love this campground it has parks, a dog park with fencing, a store arcade pretty much anything you could think of and even special events. But signing in to the campground has become a nightmare they want every single person registered and prices have double with in the last year the cost per person has gone up $10 dollars extra and they charge for pretty much everything if prices keep going up and the sign ins keep being a nightmare we will find somewhere else to camp.

Casini family ranch campground provided our group a safe, comfortable, relaxed setting to unwind and recharge our batteries. It is a beautiful setting on the Russian River in quite Sonoma county. Thumb up!
