Just OK

The park is clean, and well laid out. However, they will bump you to another spot, even if you have specified that is where you want to be. We made reservations well in advance, with friends to stay a weekend, taking care to make sure our sites were all together for our stay. For the convenience of meals, and our children/dogs it is very important. The guests in those spots previous decided to stay, and instead of asking them to move, the office just "bumped" us, and we were not close anymore. Our small children were then running back and forth, and our meals planned were not successful.

This was a complicated misunderstanding. The reservation confirmation clearly states that site assignments are subject to change. The site that extended had been in a week and wanted 2 more weeks and did not want to move. Your friends checked in the day before you and were given a couple of options on sites to be together. They never mentioned that they had to be next to your site, and you were not linked to their reservation. Your site (as confirmed) is the nicest, largest, most requested site in the Park. Your friends were only 3 sites away from you. We look forward to your soccer group and donate $250 to sponser your event in Truckee. We attempt to make everybody's stay enjoyable and apologize for the need to relocate your friends. They were happy with their sites (one even extended) as were everyone in your group that we spoke to. Paula Ganley, Owner, Coachland RV Park

Overall, a good experience

Management was very accommodating to our late arrival. We found a site and settled in for the evening. The park was quiet in the evening. We weren't bothered by parties or other noise. The neighbor in the adjoining site even lent us a pressure regulator for the water supply. I was rather surprised at how other guests left a mess in the bathroom. It was clear the bathroom was being maintained, but I guess some people are just sloppy when they don't have to clean up after themselves. The park is just a few minutes from downtown Truckee, so stores and cafes were close by. Overall, a pleasant stay. We'll be back.

Thank you for your comments. We are sorry to hear that the restrooms were left messy by another inconsiderate party. Our staff cleans the restrooms daily, and checks the restrooms periodically during the day to see that they remain clean, but it is difficult for them to check up after each use. We are glad you enjoyed your stay and look forward to seeing you again in the future. Paula Ganley-Owner-Coachland RV Park

Snowed IN
0 % of users found this review helpful
This RV Park is in a nice neighborhood, looks well kept and the staff is great and helpful. It snowed most of the time we were there and our pull thru was very narrow. The Cable TV lines were not working but we had satelite so that was good. I wanted to do some Internet work but neither attenna would give me more than one bar and neither wireless antenna worked for our site. I walked toward the Office, it still didn't work. The owners of the park need to put a little money into their so called wireless at every site antennas. Truckee is a cute town though even though it snowed, we were able to ride around.

We apologize for your inconvenience. The local cable tv company converted service in late April, and they need to do some upgrades for servicing the row you were on. We were expecting service before this date. As for our internet, we have upgraded our service to provide internet to all of our sites. Were you given an access password from the office, as this is necessary to get our wireless. This has been a record breaking winter for Truckee. We will all be glad to see the snow end. Thank you for your response and we hope to see you again soon. Paula Ganley-Gales, Owner, Coachland RV Park

Good Campground

We stayed @ Coachland in May of 2011. It's a nice enough campground & we liked everything about it, except that it is a little pricey. The included WiFi was good. The cable TV was out in the 50 Amp section, no big deal, except that those beautiful pine trees made it impossible to get our satellite TV working. However, it was an overall good experience, w/ friendly staff, & we will return.

Thank you for the response. We are sorry the cable tv was out for this row. The local tv company converted their service in late April, and our Park needs some upgrades, which the local company is in charge of. We are working hard to get tv service back to all of our spaces soon. We look forward to seeing you again. Paula Ganley-Gales, Owner, Coachland RV Park

Our overall experience was OK. The park is not a place of bountiful beauty. It is clean and well staffed. The majority of the residents there appear to be long term with various sizes of propane tanks in or around their trailers. Some places were messy and not well cared for. I do not like side by side spaces, I would rather have individual spaces without some one 4 feet from your trailer. The wifi was non-existent even though there were two or three routers on the grounds but the cable OK. Would probably not return in the future.

I am sorry our Park did not meet your expectations. It has been a very heavy snow year, and it is still snowing. Yes, our permanent residents have not had much of a chance to clean up from the harsh winter, and our beautiful flowers and landscaping have not had a chance to bloom yet. As for the wi-fi, the office asked if you received the password for access, as we have upgraded our system and all sites should be able to receive service. We would appreciate another chance to show you how nice of a park we are. Paula Ganley-Gales, Owner, Coachland RV Park
