Up my alley

This RV park is literally up my alley .. I live about 2 blocks away ... but, it is nice to hang out for a week, go to work and come "home" to camping on the beach ... fishing or bike riding, or simply flying a kite, it's overall a great place ... The prices are high and they no longer offer cable TV ...also the county should make this stretch of the beach a dog beach because the dog run is about a 10x10 space ...

Not for me.......

I'm pretty open minded and not an overly critical person but for me this just isn't the place to go "camping". I have been to Dockweiler a few times with friends. There are some nice points to Dockweiler for camping; right on the beach, affordable, our fellow campers were friendly for the most part. However the young lady that checked us in already had an attitude (bad day I guess), you can smell the Hyperion sewage treatment plant close by and my God you are at the end of the LAX runway! It's not that the planes go overhead, they are accelerating full throttle on take off directly overhead. Also some of our items were stolen overnight (beer, camping gear) by the local kids I assume that were playing Hendrix at maximum volume. I used to play softball tournaments on the sand here when it was called Imperial beach and it was fun but for camping........Yikes!
