We've come here every 4th of July for the past 5 years. We love the river view sites. The facilities are nestled among beautiful redwoods. The campsites are shaded, but the beach gets full sun. There is water and power, but to my knowledge they only have 30 amp service and the RV hook-ups are not necessarily on the proper side. As a result, you may need to run an extention cord for your electric hook-up and an extension for your hose for water hook-up. If you're prepared it's not a big deal. The facilities are old, but kept clean and the staff is very nice.

This was our 5th visit with 2 more scheduled this year. We were here for 5 nights in a 30' TT (have camped in a tent on 2 visits). Good power and water, no sewer (is a dump on site), great store. Showers and restrooms are old but very clean. Easy access to the Gualala River. Several parks in the area for hiking, within an hour to Mendincino and slightly farther to Ft. Bragg. Visit the Mendincino Botanical Gardens in Ft. Bragg. Highly recommend this location, in the redwoods, on a river, close to the ocean, what not to like.
