Management Response
Dear Guest; The management and staff of Mt. Gate RV Park strive to make every guest feel welcome and at "home". To reach this goal we have an RV age limit of 12 years for guest staying for 2 months or longer. Exceptions may be made by the owner but are rare. This rule is not a reflection of the people with an older RV but a desire to keep the park as visually pleasing as possible. I understand that this can be very frustrating for those with an older RV considering a park to stay at but find it necessary. Many parks have age limits for similiar reasons. I would be happy to explain all regulations to guest to avoid a misunderstanding.

Best in the West!

What a refreshing place to stay. Personal attention from owners who truly care about their guests. Very knowledgeable staff and clean delightful facilities. I urge people to stay a day or longer to enjoy what Northern California has to offer. 5 minutes to Shasta Lake and a short drive to Redding. Shop at Macy's or enjoy the Lake ending your day in a wonderful park like setting! Great Destination spot!

Overnight Delight

We needed a place to stay overnight on our way to Arizona and on our way back. This park has some good reviews, so we choose it for our stay. Glad we did. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We only wished we had allocated more time than just overnight as the park activities were very tempting.

We just loved this RV park. I'd put it in the top 10percent and we've traveling the US for 2 years now. I only wish we could have stayed longer. Located right off the I-5 the park is well located to so many places for day trips to Shasta Dam, fishing spots, historic downtown Redding, the Sundial Bridge, water falls, caverns and more. The RV park grounds are immaculate including bathrooms and laundry. We found an easy birding hike path at the top of the park. The owners are on-site and super nice, there is a complimentary continental breakfast (coffee and bread items) but more fun for visiting with your neighbors, park is dog-friendly (important to me) and well laid out with nice concrete pads, each with a picnic table and small grassy area, landscaping, flowers.... They re-cycle (yeah!) We were in 36 ft. class A with tow car and our site was perfect. Kudos to the owners and park hosts. thank you. we'll be back.
