This resort while short on some amenities is located in one of the mnore beautiful parts of CA. the sites along the river offer outstanding beauty and some are large. not all sites have sewer but all do have water & electricity with some to 50 AMP. I found most of the staff very friendly and helpful. they also have some cabins that seem to be very nice. the swimming pool was kept clean and was heated. nice to see they have adult swim times. they do have a clubhouse filled with lots of books for reading plus viewing of TV. they do not offer cable so satelite is necessary. Fishing right on the river also it seems slim fishing. it is located just down hwy 49 from Sutter Gold Strike Park in Coloma. thye try to have social events and had a special event for Labor Day weekend. while the sites are all gravel, some dirt they seem to be well maintained and mostly level. thye do have a strong dog policing policy which is mnuch appreciated. all in all very quite where were located out on the island or wilderness area. across the street from the park is located one of the best bakeries anywhere with great coffeee. there also are some very good restaurants to enjoy all whithin a mile of the park. seemed strange to run into first class eating out there. all in all a good experience and one i will enjoy again.
