Nice employees except for the bullish manager at the front desk

The resort is unique. I like the forest and the wild life around. The common places are clean and all workers are smiling and friendly except for the one I would presume is the manager. On arrival we were talking to the desk clerk and this other lady just butt in the conversation with her loud offensive voice. She is also very insulting in a tactless way. She also always gave me a dagger look. The other 2 ladies who work at the desk are very friendly and helpful. I know that mean lady is the manager because she doesn't do anything but talk even if she is not being spoken to. I saw her talking to a guests with a pencil in her hand and pointing that pencil right on their faces!

great location

Yosemite Pines is located on the road that climbes to the entrance of the park. This is the only major inconvenience when visiting the park, a 25M drive to the entrance. If you are visiting the park only a location inside the park is preferable. Under the trees it si very nice in Yosemite Pines, they help your AC a lot in summertime. very private and confortable location with full hook-ups. Sewer hookups are well placed and easy to connect. Wifi is available. Kids can play around and have fun, there's space and accomadation enough. Arrival and departure are smooth, no problems at all.

Clean, convenient RV park
100 % of users found this review helpful
We stayed at this park to try out a new trailer. Stayed for 4 nights. We paid for a "back-in" spot/no sewer, but ended up with a very nice pull through. Very convenient dump station right on the way out for only $3. Beautiful trees and surrounding area. Staff was very helpful and kept the grounds and bathroom very clean. They have a small store that carries the essentials. Nice areas to walk our dog. Easy drive to get to Yosemite.

Great place to stay with kids
100 % of users found this review helpful
We wanted a place close to Yosemite National Park that would be conducive to camping with four children. This campground fit our needs. There were lots of activities here--a pool, a campfire at night, hayrides, a petting zoo, and more. The only problem was that the bathrooms were kind of far away from our campsite, but we made it work. We stayed two nights and enjoyed our stay in Yosemite.

tent camping

Overall experience was extremely poor. We were planning on camping here for one night in one of their tent sites. When we arrived we found that the tent site assigned to us was extremely small and surrounded VERY closely by two other sites. The site assigned to us had very little room, barely enough to park a car let alone put up our tent. Other tent spots in the park were open, but, with no way to get in touch with management at 7:30 pm, we didn't feel comfortable switching sites. We immediately left and went back towards yosemite and stayed in a national forest campground. Though it didn't have the ammenities that Yosemite Pines claimed, at least I had room to put up our tent. Not even if desperate trying to find a campsite near yosemite would I ever stay at this facility.

Disappointing
100 % of users found this review helpful
We camped with our tent. Many sites were small and not level including ours. Access was difficult. Yellow jackets were terrible. We had to eat in the tent to avoid getting stung. Access to water was poor and the facilities were dirty. There was no way we were going into the swimming pool. All our gear was incredibly dirty when we got home. I'm glad it was only for 2 nights...

If you want to go to Yosemite, you need to plan, they only do camp sites 1 day(good luck)! We were blessed to have a friend who had got a site for the weekend only.We wanted a week so I found this place: available, affordable, and close to the park.We stayed here for 3 days in a yurt.It was nice (especially if you do not have a RV)to roll up after a long drive and just relax. No,unpacking or pitching the tent;just stay eveything already to go like a hotel.Everything was nice: I was suprised to find coin washing machines(detergent available at no charge). They had hay rides and other little event going on. The only thing I was disappointed in was the inernet(but realy what do you expect you are"camping")I would stay here again for sure.

My husband and myself took our 11 year old son and his friend for a trip to Yosemite in 2010. Overall this campsite was adequate for our needs although it was a good 30 minute drive from the entrance of Yosemite Park. My biggest complaint would be the area where we pitched our tent. It was so uneven and full of rocks. Sleeping was very uncomfortable and we were continually having to roll ourselves back up to the other end of the tent.

Excellent place to stay

My girlfriend, her foreign exchange friend from Japan, and I stayed at this campground for a few nights may '09 while visiting Yosemite. The grounds are close to the park (only fifteen-twenty minutes from an entrance), had showers on site, and the people working there were very kind and helpful. I would definitely recommend the site we stayed at for 3 people and would consider this same park again next time I need a place to stay in the area
